12살 예수님

눅 2:41-47

 

1. 부모님을 따라 예루살렘에 간 예수님

마리아와 요셉은 절기마다 어린 예수님을 데리고 하나님께 예배를 드리러 갔습니다. 자녀들은 부모의 말, 행동, 신앙을 그대로 보고 따라합니다. 그러므로 어린 자녀에게 신앙의 본을 보이는 것은 매우 중요합니다. 부모님들이 먼저 하나님을 사랑하고 잘 섬기는 모습을 자녀들에게 보일 수 있기를 바랍니다.

 

2. 예수님을 잃어버린 마리아와 요셉

예루살렘에서 마리아와 요셉은 너무나도 분주하여 잠시 예수님을 잊었습니다. 절기를 마치고 하룻 길을 간 후에야 어린 예수가 사라진 것을 알고 이곳저곳을 찾아다녔지만 예수님은 보이지 않았습니다. 우리도 분주한 삶 속에서 자녀들이 예수님과 멀어지지 않았는지, 예수님을 잊지 않았는지 늘 관심을 갖고 지켜봐야 합니다.

 

3. 성전에 계신 예수님

마리아와 요셉은 3일이 지나서야 예루살렘 성전에서 예수님을 발견하였습니다. 어린 예수님이 다른 곳에 가지 않고 안전한 성전에 있었던 이유는 하나님을 아버지로 고백하는 신앙이 있었기 때문입니다. 하나님이 우리의 아빠가 되시고, 교회는 우리의 집이라는 신앙이 오늘 모든 자녀들의 마음에 기억될 수 있기를 바랍니다.

1. Jesus Traveled to Jerusalem with His Parents

Mary and Joseph regularly took young Jesus to worship God in every season. Children closely emulate their parents' words, behavior, and faith. So, it's important for parents to set a strong example of living a faithful life. I hope every parents demonstrate love and serve God, inspiring their children by their actions.

 

2. Mary and Joseph Lost Jesus

In Jerusalem, Mary and Joseph were so busy that they momentarily forgot about Jesus. It was after traveling a day's journey post-festival that they realized Jesus was missing. They searched everywhere but couldn't find him. Similarly, in our busy lives, we need to ensure our children stay close to Jesus and remember Him.

 

3. Finding Jesus in the Temple

After three days, Mary and Joseph found Jesus in the temple of Jerusalem. The reason young Jesus stayed in the temple rather than wandering elsewhere was his profound faith in God as His Father. I pray that all children remember that God is our Father and this church is our another home, deeply in their hearts.
