 오직 믿음

롬 1:17

 

(롬 1:17) 복음에는 하나님의 의가 나타나서 믿음으로 믿음에 이르게 하나니 기록된 바 오직 의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 살리라 함과 같으니라

 

 

[도입] 오늘은 루터가 선포한 3번째 신앙의 기초이자 종교개혁 사상의 핵심이 되는 '오직 믿음'에 대해 나누겠습니다.

 

1. 하나님의 의

루터는 로마서에서 우리를 일방적으로 덮으시고 용서하시는 '하나님의 의'를 발견합니다. 하나님은 예수님을 통해 구원의 문을 활짝 열어주셨습니다. 누구든지 예수님을 믿기만 하면 하나님의 자녀로 거듭날 수 있습니다. 구원은 어렵고 복잡한 것이 아닙니다. 구원은 예수님을 바라보는 것이고, 마음으로 그분을 신뢰하는 것입니다. 하나님께서 모든 것을 이뤄놓으셨기에 우리는 이것만으로도 충분히 구원에 이를 수 있습니다.

 

2. 구원의 확신

인간의 선행과 공로가 구원의 조건이라는 가톨릭의 가르침속에 루터는 마음의 평강을 가질 수 없었습니다. 그러나 하나님의 의를 깨닫고 루터의 마음에 지금까지 가질 수 없었던 구원의 확신을 가지게 되었습니다. 교회예식은 구원의 조건이 아니라 구원의 결과이며 우리가 받은 구원을 기념하고 감사하는 일입니다. 그러므로 우리 그리스도인들에게 구원은 신앙생활의 출발입니다. 구원을 이루신 분은 하나님이시기에 우리의 구원은 흔들릴 수 없습니다. 또한 성경의 약속이기 때문에 받은 구원을 빼앗길 수도 없습니다. 하나님은 예수님을 통해 우리 모두에게 구원의 확신을 주셨습니다.

 

3. 모든 것을 이기는 믿음

가톨릭교회는 루터가 말한 믿음의 교리가 신앙을 약화시키고 교회를 무너뜨릴 것이라고 하였습니다. 그러나 루터는 '어떠한 행위보다 그리스도를 향한 믿음으로 서 있는 교회가 가장 강하다'고 하였습니다. 우리는 믿음으로 예배드리고, 믿음으로 봉사하며, 믿음으로 서로를 섬기는 사람들입니다. 믿음이 없이 아무것도 할 수 없습니다. 그러나 믿음만 있으면 모든 것을 할 수 있습니다. 믿음이 가장 큰 하나님의 능력이 된다는 사실을 기억하고 승리하는 모두가 되시기를 바랍니다.

 

 

 

 Only Faith

Rm. 1:17

 

We will discuss the third foundation proclaimed by Martin Luther, which is the core of religious reformation, 'Only Faith.'

 

1. Righteousness of God

Luther discovered the meaning of 'righteousness of God' in the book of Romans, which God covers and forgives us unconditionally. God had opened the door of salvation through Jesus Christ. Anyone who believes in Jesus can become a child of God. Salvation is not difficult or complicated. But it is simply looking to Jesus and trusting Him in our hearts. Since God has accomplished everything, we can be fully saved only by the faith.

 

2. Assurance of Salvation

Due to the Catholic teaching that salvation depends on human deeds and merits, Luther couldn't find any peace in his heart. However, after realizing the meaning of 'righteousness of God', he gained the assurance of salvation what he had never had before. Ceremonies in church are not a condition for the salvation but it is a celebration and expression of gratitude for what we are saved by Jesus. Therefore, salvation is the beginning of faith for all Christians. Since our salvation is accomplished by God Himself, it can not be shaken. Moreover, no one can take away the salvation we have received. because it is a promise in the Bible. Remember God has given us the assurance of salvation through Jesus Christ.

 

3. Faith that overcomes everything

The Catholic Church criticized Luther's teaching of faith, saying it would weaken believers' faith and harm the Church. However, Luther believed that a Church founded on faith is the stronger than anything else. We should worship, serve, and help in the church with our faith. Remember that faith is God's greatest power that overcomes everything.
