 예수님의 마지막 명령

사도행전 1:4-5

 

 

(행 1:4) 사도와 함께 모이사 그들에게 분부하여 이르시되 예루살렘을 떠나지 말고 내게서 들은 바 아버지께서 약속하신 것을 기다리라( 행 1:5) 요한은 물로 침례를 베풀었으나 너희는 몇 날이 못되어 성령으로 침례를 받으리라 하셨느니라라

 

예수님께서 모든 사역을 마치시고 하늘로 올라가시며 제자들에게 남기신 마지막 말씀을 살펴보겠습니다.

 

1. 성령을 받으라

예수님은 제자들에게 십자가의 보혈이 뿌려진 예루살렘에서 약속하신 성령을 기다리라고 하였습니다. 보혜사 성령은 영원히 우리와 함께 하시는 예수님의 영을 의미합니다. 구약에서 여호와를 경외하는 것, 복음서에서 주 예수를 믿는 것과 같이 이제 우리에게 주어진 명령은 성령으로 침례를 받는 것입니다. 성령침례를 받기 위해 더욱 하나님의 말씀을 사모하고 기도하기에 힘쓰는 모두가 되시기를 바랍니다.

 

2. 증인이 되라

예수님은 제자들에게 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되라고 하셨습니다. 예수님께서는 우리가 모든 나라와 민족으로 나아갈 수 있도록 우리에게 성령의 능력과 권세를 주시겠다고 하셨습니다. 성령의 충만을 받아 오직 예수님만 증거하며, 자신을 부인하는 우리의 모습이 있어야 합니다.

 

3. 다시 오실 것을 기다리라

예수님이 막상 하늘로 올라가시니 제자들은 망연자실하여 구름만 바라보았습니다. 그러나 천사는 예수님이 반드시 다시 오실 것이니 조금도 마음에 실망하지 말라고 저들을 위로하였습니다. 우리는 예수님이 다시 오실 때까지 성령받아 증인이 되는 사명을 잘 감당해야 합니다. 절대로 우리 신앙을 중도에 포기해서는 안됩니다. 다시 오실 예수님을 고대하며 믿음으로 승리하는 모두가 되시기를 바랍니다.

 

 

 

 The Last Commandment of Jesus

Ac. 1:4-5

 

 

1. Receive the Holy Spirit

Jesus told His disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem, where His sacrifice on the cross had taken place. The Holy Spirit, often referred to as the Comforter, represents the abiding presence of Jesus within us. Just as the Old Testament emphasized the fear of the Lord and the Gospels highlighted faith in Jesus, now our command is to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Let's all make an effort to earnestly seek God's Word and pray to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

 

 

2. Be a Witness

Jesus instructed His disciples to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. He promised us the power and authority of the Holy Spirit so that we can go to all nations and peoples. We should spread the gospel of Jesus and deny ourself by the power of the Holy Spirit.

 

3. Await His Return

After Jesus ascended to heaven, His disciples stood gazing at the clouds, feeling unsure of what to do. But angels comforted them, assuring that Jesus would surely return, and they shouldn't be disappointed. Until Jesus returns, we must fulfill our mission as witnesses, empowered by the Holy Spirit. Do not lose our faith along the way. Let's eagerly look foward to the return of Jesus with strong faith.
