 믿음과 성령이 충만한 사람

사도행전 6:3-7

 

 

1. 일곱 집사의 선출

예루살렘 교회가 크게 성장하는 안동 교회 안에서는 성도들 간에 원망하고 다투는 일이 일어났습니다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 사도들은 성령과 지혜가 충만하고 칭찬받는 일곱명의 집사를 선출하였고, 모든 문제는 해결되었습니다. 우리 앞에 다가오는 많은 문제들을 지혜롭게 해결하기 위해 우리는 늘 성령으로 충만해야 합니다.

 

2. 스데반의 권능과 순교

스데반 집사는 하나님의 은혜와 권능이 충만하여 많은 기사와 표적을 일으켰지만, 유대인들의 시기와 질투로 인해 억울하게 죽임을 당하였습니다. 스데반은 평신도였지만 예수님을 닮은 모습으로 살았고, 신약시대 최초의 순교자로 이름을 남기게 되었습니다. 이제는 누구든지 주 안에서 차별없이 쓰임받을 수 있는 새로운 시대가 되었음을 알 수 있습니다.

 

3. 스데반의 설교

스데반이 위대하게 쓰임받을 수 있었던 이유는 그가 하나님의 말씀으로 충만하였기 때문입니다. 스데반이 죽기 전 남긴 설교는 성경에서 가장 긴 설교로, 성경의 줄거리를 정확하게 기술하고 있습니다. 우리도 영적 지도자로 쓰임받기 위해 늘 하나님의 말씀을 즐거워하고 가까이 해야 합니다. 우리는 말씀의 충만을 통해 성령충만을 받을 수 있습니다.

 

 

 

 

 A man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit

1. The Selection of the Seven Deacons

As the Jerusalem church experienced significant growth, disputes and conflicts arose among the congregation. In order to find a solution to these issues, the apostles decided to select seven deacons known for their wisdom and filled with the Holy Spirit. Through their service, they effectively resolved all the problems in the church. To wisely deal with the various challenges we encounter, we should constantly strive to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

 

2. Stephen's Miracles and Martyrdom

Deacon Stephen was filled with God's grace and power, which led to numerous miracles and wonders. Unfortunately, due to jealousy and opposition from some Jews, he was unjustly put to death. Stephen, though a layperson, lived in a manner that resembled Jesus and became the first martyr of the New Testament era. His story signifies a new era where anyone can be used by the Lord without discrimination.

 

3. Stephen's Sermon

The reason Stephen was able to serve profoundly was because he was filled with God's Word. The sermon he left before his death is the longest in the Bible and accurately depicts the narrative of the Scripture. To become a spiritual leaders, we should always delight in and draw near to God's Word. We can receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit through the richness of the Word of God.
