 안디옥 교회

사도행전 13:1-3

 

 

1. 이방인의 교회

예루살렘에 박해가 임하자 성도들은 모두 흩어지게 되었습니다. 그러나 흩어진 곳에서도 실망하지 않고 열심히 복음을 전하자 이방인들 중 믿고 구원받는 사람들이 생겼습니다. 특별히 안디옥에서 많은 이방인들이 모여 교회가 세워지는 일이 일어났습니다. 하나님께서는 안디옥 교회가 크게 부흥하는 모습을 통해 이제 본격적인 이방인의 시대가 시작되었음을 우리에게 보여주셨습니다.

 

2. 하나되는 교회

안디옥 교회에는 완전히 다른 배경을 가진 5명의 지도자가 있었습니다. 이것을 보면 안디옥 교회에 얼마나 다양한 사람들이 모였었는지 상상해 볼 수 있습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 성령의 역사를 통해 안디옥 교회는 하나될 수 있었습니다. 교회는 세상적인 조건을 떠나 성령의 역사 가운데 모두가 하나로 어울어지는 복된 장소입니다.

 

3. 선교하는 교회

안디옥 교회가 하나되어 주님을 섬길 때, 바나바와 사울을 파송하라는 성령의 음성을 듣게 되었습니다. 이로서 안디옥 교회는 최초로 해외선교를 시작하는 영광스러운 교회가 되었습니다. 선교는 모든 민족에게 복음을 전하라는 예수님의 마지막 명령을 실천하는 것이고, 하나님이 가장 기뻐하시는 일입니다. 특별히 해외에 살고 있는 우리는 늘 이러한 선교사의 마음으로 살아가야 할 것입니다.

 

 

 

 

 Antioch Church

Ac. 13:1-3

 

 

1. The Church Among the Gentiles

When persecution arose in Jerusalem, the believers were scattered. However, even in their dispersion, they continued to spread the gospel, resulting in the conversion of Gentiles. Especially in Antioch, a significant number of Gentiles came to faith, leading to the establishment of a new church. Through the revival in the Antioch church, God revealed the changing to the Gentile era.

 

2. A Unified Church

In the Antioch church, there were five leaders from different backgrounds, reflecting the congregation's remarkable diversity. But the Antioch church could be unified by the work of the Holy Spirit. The church is a blessed place where everyone comes together and all united by the work of the Holy Spirit regardless of worldly background.

 

3. A Missional Church

As the Antioch church united in service to the Lord, they heard the Holy Spirit's voice instructing them to send out Barnabas and Saul. It was the beginning of the glorious overseas mission work. Missions are the practical fulfillment of Jesus' final command to preach the gospel to all nations, and it makes our God pleased. Especially for those living abroad, we should always live with the heart of a missionary.
